Our daily Breakfast Club runs each morning from 8:15am to 8:40am in the new student kitchen. Staff and volunteers manage the club, creating a calm and welcoming space where students can enjoy a nourishing start to their day. It’s a great opportunity for students to connect with friends, settle in for the morning, and enjoy a healthy breakfast before class begins.

A variety of food options are available, including cereal, toast, and eggs most days — with the occasional pancake morning as a special treat! The Breakfast Club is open to all students and plays an important role in supporting wellbeing, focus, and a positive start to the school day. We’re proud to offer this daily program as part of our commitment to student care and community.

Eating breakfast before school has been shown to improve concentration, memory, and energy levels throughout the day. It helps students feel more alert and ready to learn, reducing feelings of hunger and anxiety that can affect classroom engagement. By promoting healthy eating habits and a positive routine, our Breakfast Club supports both academic success and emotional wellbeing.

Kellie, our Pastoral Care Worker, is an active and vibrant member of our school community. She places a strong emphasis on building respectful and trusting relationships with students, families, and the wider community, and is always ready to offer support wherever it is needed. Kellie provides targeted wellbeing support both within classrooms and through small group interventions, ensuring all students feel safe, valued, and cared for. Her work focuses on nurturing social-emotional skills, supporting students as they navigate friendship and family challenges, and helping them develop emotional regulation strategies, all grounded in trauma-informed practices. In addition to this, Kellie fosters positive connections through the art and dance clubs she leads during recess and lunch times. These clubs not only provide students with a creative outlet, but also helps them build new skills, boost confidence, and enhance their sense of belonging within the school environment. Please reach out to Kellie with any questions about her programs or supports she can off to you and your child.
